Guangdong Radio and Television HD Interactive Platform
Tongzhou began constructing Guangdong Province’s HD interactive platform in 2012. By the end of 2014, it carried out a large-scale, province-wide heterogeneous integration and capacity expansion, successfully achieving a three-tier deployment and tiered operation of the provincial HD interactive platform, with unified planning and construction, and completing the unified upgrade of the “1+19” city‑level infrastructure.
Solutions and Services
On this platform, our company has developed two major subsystems—the Business Operations Management Subsystem (BO) and the Streaming Server Subsystem (VSS)—providing a robust and stable foundational infrastructure as well as an operations management platform for the Guangdong Provincial Network.
In accordance with the comprehensive, multi‑dimensional planning of Guangdong Radio and Television Network’s digital television platform, which calls for a three‑tier architecture comprising a provincial center, regional centers, and edge nodes, our company has delivered a province‑wide, unified, open‑access digital television platform.
In terms of platform openness, the Guangdong Provincial Network has developed a set of technical standards tailored to its specific business scenarios based on the NGOD framework. It provides unified interfaces and services to external parties, laying the groundwork and ensuring optimized support for the rapid adoption of provincial‑level services.
Current Scale and Performance
- The platform currently hosts 3.3 million interactive users, with Foshan serving as the largest city‑level sub‑platform, supporting 50,000 concurrent streams.
- The Tongzhou HD interactive platform’s BO system operates with stability and reliability, providing robust technical support for the Guangdong Province network’s multi‑hundred‑million‑yuan interactive service revenue.
